Seems that he did this to respect the legacy of Charles E. Bastien…
Who will replace Brown as the series director?

I think I found Brown’s replacement…
I am very shocked and I hope the show will still be good.
Who knows in the future really…
Wow. It was only two seasons. I wonder why he decided to leave so soon?
Probably tired or decided to try something new.
I assume he left due to Guru’s toxic workplace environment and doesn’t wanna get the same fate as Bastien, I had assumed that Guru was responsible for killing Bastien.
Yes, I understand that directors do not control scripts, but even then, being a director is a tough task to do, and I think that American and Canadian pipelines have different views on directors and showrunners. Where as in the US episodes usually have different directors supervising with the showrunners having the creative control on how the script should be envisioned, directors in Canada likely act as the showrunners instead, thus allowing the show to keep a consistent quality rather than having different directors supervising each episode,
@BaldiBasicsFan Toxic workplace environment? What evidence do you have that Paw Patrol is a toxic workplace environment? Brown was probably just a temporary director. Also, Guru didn't kill Bastien, Bastien had cancer.
Well, Maybe the animation style will be new in Season 12.
Yes, Bastien had cancer, but Guru wouldn’t give him a break.
While I haven’t found evidence of how Bastien thought of working at Guru, these links from Glassdoor should give you a good insight about the studio:
