It hurts me to say this, but I am starting to lose interest in paw patrol. Not because I'm growing out of it, but because I am done complaining, being sad, mad, disappointed, being mis-led into thinking something awesome might happen when it doesn't, enjoying one episode and then going back to the same old disappointment, and getting my hopes up for nothing. I've been a big paw patrol fan ever since the show started, but not recently.
I'm tired of the humans getting almost all of the screen time in nearly every episode, I'm tired of the Chase & Skye show, I'm tired of Zuma being left out most of the time and when he does get some screen time, it feels forced, I'm tired of seeing stuff with just Chase, Marshall, Rubble, and Skye as if they are the only 4 pups Ryder has. I'm tired of the very little interaction the pups have and how they treat each other like acquaintances, especially Rocky and Zuma who don't even acknowledge each others existence most of the time while they are always with the other pups. I mean, how can you call those two best friends if they almost never say a word to each other? I'm tired of people saying Rocky and Zuma aren't shown much because they are not that popular when the actual reason is that they are not that popular because they aren't shown together much. I tried to make them more popular across social media and it isn't working. Someone might say, "Rocky and Zuma have appeared more together now, what could you possibly still be upset about?" The answer is, there's always something in an exciting episode that still gets me disappointed, was missing, or a perfect opportunity missed or avoided. It's never as good as it should of been.
What really did it this time was Zuma not appearing in Rocky's Garage and Skye's music party and that one scene with all the pups except Zuma high fiving each other and having fun. That really broke my heart because I went through that when I was younger when my classmates never invited me to their parties or hangouts, then they come back the next day and talk about how much fun they had while I'm right there painfully listening to all of it and it made me feel forgotten and left out and it made me cry sometimes so seeing that scene brought back bad memories. I know there are still more episodes to go for him to appear, but I'm gonna tell you right now, if Rocky's Garage and Skye's Music Party concludes without a single appearance of Zuma, I am going to unsubscribe from Paw Patrol's social media, boycott Paw Patrol, and watch only Rubble & Crew that is starting to become my new favorite show.
Rubble & Crew makes me happy because that show is everything Paw Patrol is not and that I always hoped would be. I still love the paw patrol pups especially Rocky and Zuma and always will, but the conclusion of Rocky's Garage and Skye's Music party in the future will be the breaking point for me.
