We all know how the members joined the team via the numbering. Ofc Ryder is numbered 01 because he's the first member and leader and + he created the team. Chase is ofc 02 because he was found by Ryder and became the second. Skye is 04 because she was also found by Ryder and Rubble is 06 because he had a backstory and was also found by Ryder and joined the team. Marshall, Rocky, and Zuma also joined at some point being 03, 05, and 07 respectively but they don't have backstories at all other than their fears. At some point, as seen in "Pups Save Ryder's Robot", Robo-Dog later joined as Ryder and technically Rocky were the ones who created him, being numbered 08. In the episode, "The New Pup", Everest makes her first debut in the series and later officially becomes a member and joins the team, she is numbered 09.
Now that's just the basic numbering sequence but here's when it gets strange. Normally the number that the Pups have is based on when they joined the team, however in Robo-Dog's case it isn't true though, his page confirms that he's not only numbered 08 but also 010, 014, 015, 017, 018, and 020?... In addition we also seen some temporary members also join the team at some point before or after Robo-Dog was created, notability humans such as Alex and Mayor Goodway. Does this mean that Ryder actually upgrades Robo Dog after a certain time when a New Pup joins or is he trying to use him to take over empty spots as well. Or maybe Ryder actually created multiple clones of Robo-Dog to hide under the lookout after the previous one broke down.
And it's not just that.... There's also something that has to do with the numbering of the original members, And I'm talking about both 06 and 07. If Rubble was the 7th member to join them how come he be numbered 06 even though Zuma clearly came before him? Some say that there was another Construction Pup before him or maybe a member from Rubble's Family actually took over the number 06 spot and as seen in "Charger visits the Pups", Charger visits Adventure Bay for the first time and helps out the Main Team however, it's unknown if he or the other members of Rubble's Family actually count as members of the team. Or maybe Zuma was actually a construction pup as some point before being switched to an Underwater Dog because Ryder knew that he wouldn't be good at it. In "Pups Save A Super Pup", Zuma uses Rubble's Rig until he's rescued to help the latter and the Train Driver out of the rocks. In this case I think Ryder changed Zuma to be a Underwater Dog before Rubble joined the team and at some point only one time allowed him to take the place of Rubble since the latter was actually trapped and needed a temporary placement for the Construction Pup.
So that's my predictions of who actually took the spot for the Construction Pup before Rubble joined? But you may ask? What about the other part of the Headcannon involving Liberty? Yeah I almost forgot?
Anyways, After that massive journey Tracker debuts in his namesake episode and joins the pups as 011 and this could confirm that Ryder actually upgraded Robo-Dog after Everest joined the team. (Or maybe actually made a new vehicle and upgraded Robo-Dog at the same time).
In "Mighty Pups, Super Paws: Pups Meet The Mighty Twins", The Mighty Twins (Aka Ella and Tuck) both debut in the same episode and officially join the team and if we exclude the non-canon vehicles then both of them have the numbers 012 and 013 respectively (013 IS LUCKY TRUST ME) And then Ryder decides to upgrade Robo-Dog again afterwards..... MULTIPLE TIMES.....
UP UNTIL "Dino Rescue: Pups and the Lost Dino Eggs", Where a new member finally joins and that being Rex who is numbered 019.... And the Robo-Dog gets updated again one last time.....
In "Moto Pups: Pups vs. the Ruff-Ruff Pack", Wildcat (Later known as simply Wild in future episodes) joins later on and is numbered 021 (Seriously, Don't think about the 9 + 10 meme please.) And then later on starting from "Cat Pack: Rubble and Wild and a Yarn Ball!", He gets a name change and a massive redesign with his gear.
And next up is.....
Yeah I'm coming back to this later.....
Next is Farmer AL- I meant AL (I seriously always get those two confused.) Anyway, AL debuts in "Big Truck Pups: Pups Stop a Flood" and officially joins the team and also starting the Big Truck Pups sub series. He is numbered 023.
Skye's Cousin comes in (Coral) in "Aqua Pups: Pups Save a Floating Castle" she joins afterwards and becomes numbered 024 and yes she's also a merpup and became one before them. And then Robo-Dog gets updated one more time and I hope the trend doesn't continue.
And then finally, Roxi debuts in "Rescue Wheels: Pups Save Adventure Bay!" and becomes numbered 026 after joining.....
And that's all the members and...... WAIT DID I FORGOT SOMEONE.....
Earlier we found out that Chase and Skye had backstories and were rescued by Ryder for the former and found for the latter but wait there's one more pup that has been found by Ryder after those Two and after the Other Original Members + Everest joined and that pup is......
Background Singers: LIBERTY!
Yeah..... She debuted in "PAW Patrol: The Movie" and was found by Ryder as well and wanted to help them out a lot. At some point, after many successes and with helping out the other members she officially joined and then we never knew what number she was going to have until the episode, "Liberty Makes A New Friend" which she debuts in outside of the sub series which is actually canon to the storyline and is numbered 022....
But wait why are you saying that she joined after Everest? Think about it? Ryder finding all these abandoned dogs to join his team sounded like he wanted to build a team to help out with Adventure Bay and also Barkingburg and even Adventure City.
And for some reason, the storyline connections are obviously just strange considering that the Movie is canon to the series + the main series itself debuted more pups while the former only introduced one and not to mention that Liberty also received power from the meteor in "PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie". Also in "Liberty's Mountain Rescue", She and Everest canonically interact for the first time not counting "All Paws On Deck" since they both did appear in the same episode but had no dialogue with each other.
Now back to the scenario with Robo-Dog.... Who would fill in the missing numbers.... Well in my opinion, I think that Liberty would fill in the number 010 spot but then Charger would have to replace her original spot if Ryder ever attempts to renumber the other Pup vehicles. As for the rest of the numbers, they'll be taken over by the rest of Rubble's Family.
And that's basically it.... It's honestly just strange how Robo-Dog as well as the Vehicles that Ryder made took up most of the numbers which lead to a ton of gaps in the member and/or vehicle numbering system such as a gap between Everest and Tracker.
