Synopsis
It's night at the jungle where Ryder, Carlos, the pups and the cats are all sitting at a campfire, roasting marshmallows and identifying the roars of big cats. Tracker asks Leo if he'd like to see his favorite part of the jungle, which Leo accepts, suiting up in his Cat Pack gear and hopping into his vehicle before riding off with Tracker.
Shortly after the two arrive to a monkey temple, which is surrounded by sparkles of fireflies, they hear mysterious noises echoing from within. Despite their fear of the noises, Tracker thinks someone may be in trouble and suggests they go in to check. To avoid the booby traps in the dark, Leo commands his Lion Strength to light up his suit while Tracker attracts a spark of fireflies with pollen to use as his light. The two then head inside, and upon entering, Tracker is able to identify the mysterious noise as a monkey whose leg is trapped underneath a rock. Leo uses his Lion Strength to remove the rocks, but the monkey is unable to move due to her injury, so Tracker gives her a lift on his back. However, just as they are about to leave, a mouse startles Leo, causing him to stumble directly onto a booby trap, which makes the floor of the temple to crumble, leaving Tracker, Leo, and the monkey surrounded by a pit. Unable to use his cables to pull them to safety, Tracker calls Ryder for help via his Pup-tag.
After Tracker explains their situation at the temple, Ryder summons the PAW Patrol and Rory to the PAW Patroller with Rory suiting up in her Cat Pack gear before their mission briefing. Ryder assigns EMT Marshall to use his medical gear to make sure the monkey is okay while Rory will use her pouncing skills to get Leo, Tracker and the monkey to safety. With that, the team deploys and ride off into the jungle.
Once at the monkey temple, Rory uses her tiger-pouncing skills and the help of Tracker's fireflies to rescue the monkey. Marshall then uses his X-ray scanner to identify the monkey's sprained foot and bandages it up before she hitches a ride on his back. Thanks to the fireflies lighting up a path on the ceiling, Tracker is able to use his cables to swing over to Leo, but the mouse from earlier returns, startling Leo once more, causing Tracker to lose momentum, unable to swing them over the pit. Rory uses her pouncing abilities to swing over to Leo and give them a last needed push over the pit. With everyone now safely over, Ryder has Tracker and Leo lead the way out.
As they exit the temple, the monkey leaps off of Marshall's back and lands on top of another booby trap, which leaves Rory, Ryder, Marshall, and the monkey blocked off from the entrance. Tracker tells Ryder and the others to step back and cover their ears as Leo uses his vehicle's Lion Roar to blast an opening in the block, allowing Rory, Ryder and the monkey to escape. However, the block starts to give way with Marshall still inside, so Leo rushes over, but pauses as he sees the mouse from earlier. After a moment of hesitation, Leo forces himself to overcome his fear to save his friend and uses his Lion Strength to hold up a fallen rock, allowing Tracker to pull Marshall to safety with his cables.
Afterwards, the group returns to the campsite where they hear various roars from big cats deep within the jungle. Ryder tells Leo they are saluting him for his bravery, and the entire group howls in unison.
