Summary

Tracker stumbles into a hidden jungle and its animal inhabitants who are frightened by the rumblings of an impending volcano. It's up to Ryder and the pups to use their new animal vehicles to rescue the creatures from the hot lava and save their home.

Synopsis

Out in the jungle aboard the PAW Patroller, Ryder reveals his surprise to the pups, which is meeting up with Tracker and Carlos to explore unseen parts of the jungle.

As the aforementioned duo wait for the PAW Patrol's arrival, Mandy swings by with a special artifact that has a rhino carved onto it. Curious, Carlos stays behind to observe the area for more possible artifacts as Tracker runs ahead after hearing distressed animal noises, following the sounds to a cave near the lagoon. Though fearful at first, Tracker enters the cave, which is illuminated by fireflies, revealing more cave-drawings on the walls. Using his pup tag, he takes a picture and sends it to Carlos, who believes the drawings to be warnings and urges Tracker to leave. However, just as Tracker turns around to exit, he trips over a rock and slides further into the cave, discovering a secret exit, which leads him to the hidden jungle.

Upon entering the hidden jungle, Tracker hears a bunch of monkeys crying out and follows the sound toward the edge of cliff where he spots a group of monkeys, who panic and run away from him after the ground suddenly shakes. He then looks over the cliffside to see a trapped baby monkey, which he rescues using his cables. However, upon retracting his cables, the baby monkey suddenly clings onto his chest, quickly losing its grip, and accidentally pulls off his pup tag. Though Tracker is able to save the baby monkey once more with his cables, he loses his pup tag and communication with Carlos, who alerts Ryder of Tracker's situation, in the process.

At the lagoon, the PAW Patrol meet up with Carlos before heading inside the cave Tracker went into. Eventually, they stumble upon the hidden jungle, but before going in to explore, Ryder summons the PAW Patrol back to the PAW Patroller where they are suited up in their brand-new Jungle Pups gear. After Carlos relays what happened to Tracker to the pups, Ryder assigns Skye to use her jet for a sky-high aerial search, Chase to use his vehicle's tiger-claw tires to rescue Tracker, and the rest of the pups to come along. With that, Skye and Chase deploy into their new respective vehicles and, along with the other pups as well as Carlos, set off with Ryder into the hidden jungle.

As they search for Tracker, many of the jungle's animal inhabitants, feeling threatened by the PAW Patrol, approach them, exhibiting aggression. However, just as Chase picks up Tracker's scent, a sudden tremor causes the ground to shake, scaring the animals away and clearing a path for Chase to lead the way. From the air, Skye spots Tracker and the baby monkey hanging on the cliffside, which Chase rides down using his claw tires. Using his cable, Tracker swings the baby monkey over to Chase before using it to pull himself up. Unfortunately, the rock he clutches onto finally gives way, resulting in Tracker falling down. On Ryder's command, Rocky uses his vehicle's snapping jaws to grab one of Tracker's cables, saving him just as he nears the ground, and pull him back to the top of the cliff to safety.

After the rescue, the animals from before return, still showing aggression until the PAW Patrol use their vehicle's to imitate their behaviors, calming them down and becoming their friends. Wanting to become friends with the monkeys, Tracker names the baby monkey he rescued Patch, who runs away after another tremor violently shakes the ground. Accompanied by their new animal friends, the PAW Patrol leave the mountain and return to the outside of the cave, where Ryder surprises Tracker with his brand-new vehicle and Jungle Pups gear, and Carlos decodes the cave-drawings, which the PAW Patrol suddenly realize are warnings of a volcano erupting.

Using their new vehicles, each of the PAW Patrol members rescue and guide their animal friends away from the incoming lava to safety, except for Tracker, who tries everything to convince Patch to get down to safety. With Ryder's advice, Tracker uses his monkey vehicle to climb the trees and lead Patch away from the flowing lava with his cables. However, Patch still refuses to climb down to safety due to the other monkeys being in danger in the tree grove. As Tracker and Patch work together to save them, Marshall and his elephant friend douse the lava with water until it cools into solid rock while Rubble and a heard of rhinos use their horns to dig a trench for the lava to fall into, giving Tracker enough time to save and lead the rest of the monkeys to safety.

After the animals are saved and the PAW Patrol regroup, Tracker thanks the team, as well as Patch, for helping him save his new friends. Immediately after, Patch alerts everyone of the flowing lava that has now seeped over the trench, which Marshall and Zuma cool down with the help of their animal friends.

Once the volcano stops erupting, the lava finally stops, no longer putting the hidden jungle in danger. The PAW Patrol then return to the PAW Patroller, where Tracker returns with the monkeys who thank them all for their help. After Ryder says his usual "Yelp for help" catchphrase, the group all share a laugh.
