"Liberty Makes a New Friend" is the first segment of the first episode in Season 9 of PAW Patrol.
Summary
Liberty mistakenly brings a bear into town, thinking it's someone's pet; she must fix her mistake and rescue Chickaletta.

Synopsis
At the Lookout, the pups are putting together a donation box for pups in need, when they get a surprise visit from an old friend, Liberty, having come all the way from Adventure City in hopes of having another rescue with the PAW Patrol. However, with the PAW Patrol busy with their stuff, Liberty decides to see if anyone else in Adventure Bay needs help, giving her a chance to explore the city. After meeting up with Cap'n Turbot, Mayor Goodway, and Uncle Otis, Liberty later finds a bear that has a splinter in its paw. She helps it out, befriending it in the process, but upon taking in back into Adventure Bay, it causes a ruckus and results in Chickaletta running off and Otis' beaver buddies accidentally hitting his leg with their tails, spraining his ankle.
Back at the Lookout, Liberty arrives to tell Ryder and the pups of what happened while touring Adventure Bay, only for Ryder to get calls from Mayor Goodway and Uncle Otis about what happened in town with Liberty's new bear buddy. Calling the pups to the Lookout, Marshall is suited up in his EMT outfit while Chase is suited up in his super spy outfit, and Liberty stands with them, in between Chase and Rubble, as they head up the elevator, but then stands next to Marshall. Before Ryder briefs everyone on their mission, Liberty confesses that this is all her fault due to her befriending the bear, which she named Benny. Ryder assures her they will make this right, and assigns Marshall to check on Otis' ankle, while Chase will help find Chickaletta. He also agrees to have Liberty join them on the mission as a way to atone for her mistakes regarding Benny. With that, the team deploys and heads out, with Liberty first down the slide and on her vehicle as they deploy.
Once at Mr. Porter's, Marshall tends to Uncle Otis, while Chase sends up his drone to look for Chickaletta, finding her near the river. While Marshall stays with Otis and his beaver buddies, Ryder, with Mayor Goodway riding with him, takes off with Liberty and Chase to find Chickaletta. Along the way, Liberty reunites with Benny, and gives him a lift back to the woods.
Once back in the woods, they find Chickaletta, but still spooked by Benny, she flies over onto a log heading for a large waterfall. Liberty takes it upon herself to try and help, and after Ryder has her use her Pup Tag to activate her life jacket, she's able to navigate her log to meet up with Chickaletta's, but once on board, unable to stop the log from going over the falls on her own, Benny, due to his larger size, is able to help save both Liberty and Chickaletta.
Back at Mr. Porter's, Mayor Goodway thanks the team for all their help, especially Liberty, and they all share a good laugh afterwards.
