Synopsis
Inside the Lookout, the pups are watching a show relating to the mysterious Humsquatch, which describes his physical appearance and attraction to food. Meanwhile, in Foggy Bottom, as Mayor Humdinger prepares himself for "Hummy Mummy and Me Day", a special day in which Humdinger spends time with his mother, Helga Humdinger, the Humsquatch follows the scent of cat food into Humdinger's lair. After being startled by the Kitten Catastrophe Crew, the Humsquatch crashes into Humdinger's wardrobe, ending up in his attire as a result, and runs outside, where he accidentally bumps into Helga and breaks her glasses. Unable to see, Helga mistakes the Humsquatch for her son and takes him to Mr. Porter's for lunch. Mayor Humdinger chases after the two and scolds the Humsquatch, who runs away with Helga out of fear, before ending up on top of a runaway dessert cart in the process.
Meanwhile, back at the Lookout, while Marshall pretends to be a mysterious creature walking in Ryder's shoes, Mr. Porter calls Ryder and informs him of the double Humdinger situation. Afterwards, the PAW Patrol are summoned to the Lookout, where, after a Marshall shoe wipe-out, they are suited up in their standard gear and briefed on the rescue mission. Rocky and Chase are called on as first responders and set off with Ryder for Mr. Porter's cafe, where they split up to find both of the Humdingers. Ryder and Rocky follow Mayor Humdinger to City Hall, where Rocky catches the runaway dessert cart with his forklift just before it can crash into Mayor Goodway's tulips, rescuing Humdinger. Chase eventually finds the Humsquatch's footprints near the sewers and follows him into the museum, where he stomps about, tipping over a statue that Chase saves with his net.
Once the team regroups outside the museum, they follow the Humsquatch back to City Hall, where he accidentally crushes some of Mayor Goodway's tulips. With his muffled speech, he apologizes for the mishap, but is once again spooked by Chickaletta and takes Helga all the way up to the roof of City Hall, prompting Ryder to call Marshall in for backup. Angered, Mayor Humdinger scolds the Humsquatch for ruining his special day with his "Hummy Mummy" and reveals the truth to Helga, who nearly falls off the roof, but is saved by the Humsquatch. She then retrieves an old pair of glasses from her purse and finally realizes that the Humsquatch is not her son, but a new friend. As the two share a hug, Marshall arrives and uses his ladder to help them get down.
Back at Foggy Bottom, Helga exchanges one last hug with the Humsquatch, much to Mayor Humdinger's jealousy, before he takes his leave. She then thanks the PAW Patrol for their help and apologizes to Mayor Humdinger for the mishap with their special day. His mood, however, is uplifted after she asks to celebrate their special occasion the next day instead, and the two hug while the Kitten Catastrophe Crew sadly whine at having to pick yet another outfit for Humdinger.
