Synopsis
Chase and Skye are giving several Adventure Bay children a tour of the Lookout, but Alex climbs onto Ryder's ATV and accidentally turns it on. Ryder races after him and manages to jump on, but Alex activates some new booster engines and breaks off the control needed to turn them off. Worse yet, Ryder hadn't finished modifying the brakes on his improved vehicle, and they burn out under the increased speed. He quickly calls the pups and has them board the PAW Patroller, where he is forced to debrief them via video call after Marshall slips onto a skateboard and crashes into the other pups.
As he and Alex speed through Adventure Bay, Ryder has Robo-Dog bring the PAW Patroller in pursuit of his ATV. Skye is called upon to airlift Alex off the ATV so he won't be in danger as they try to stop it, while Rubble is asked to repair any damage caused by the speeding vehicle. Chase, feeling guilty for not keeping a closer eye on Alex during the tour, apologizes, though Ryder is understanding regarding the matter. The pups soon close in on Ryder and Alex as they near Farmer Al's farm, and Ryder has to pull off a jump to avoid crashing into the back of Al's truck.
Ryder steers into one of Farmer Al's fields, but the ground is too uneven for Ryder to give Skye an opening to pick up Alex. As such, he calls upon Rocky and Marshall to join in the effort, with Rocky building a ramp to get the ATV into the air so Skye can reach Alex. Marshall, meanwhile, deploys his water cannons in hopes of dousing the ATV's rocket engines, but Ryder is moving too quickly for him to hit. With the engines now getting so hot that they're in danger of exploding, Ryder has Rocky move the ramp so he can leave the field.
Chase calls all the pups back aboard the PAW Patroller and has Robo-Dog employ the PAW Patroller's high-speed mode in an attempt to catch up to Ryder. When this fails, Chase deploys in his 4x4 and launches a drag chute onto the back of the ATV to slow it down. Robo-Dog is then able to bring Ryder's ATV aboard, but Chase determines that the PAW Patroller is heading for a gorge. Robo-Dog brings the PAW Patroller to a stop, and Ryder and Rocky are able to detach the rocket boosters just in time to send them flying safely into the river at the gorge's base. Fortunately, upon their return to town, Alex affirms that he's learned his lesson about touching things, and Ryder is grateful to know that even he can count on the PAW Patrol when he needs help.
