Synopsis
Outside the Lookout, the pups are playing a game that involves tossing a beanbag to each other with Rubble kicking it high into the air. The pups are unsure of where it lands until Skye notices it looking like a new spot on top of Marshall's head. Meanwhile, in Foggy Bottom, Mayor Humdinger uses an old bowling trophy he bought from a yard sale to create a phony trophy for Mayor of the Year to surprise and impress his mother. After enticing the Kitten Catastrophe Crew to cheer for him with treats, Mayor Humdinger's mother, Helga Humdinger, appears and greets the kitties. Humdinger hides the trophy beside his fridge and sets up a gourmet dinner for him and his mother to enjoy before showing off the surprise. However, while they are eating, the Kitten Catastrophe Crew hide their treats inside a compartment of the phony trophy to get even more treats from Humdinger, who reluctantly leaves to buy some more.
Once Mayor Humdinger leaves, Helga Humdinger rearranges a photograph on his fridge and spots the phony trophy, believing it to be real. The Kitten Catastrophe Crew try to take it back from her, but Helga drops it in the process, resulting in it falling outside the lair where a raccoon, attracted by the few treats that poured out from it, takes it and runs off into the forest. Helga chases after it up a tree where the trophy gets stuck between its branches. However, as she tries to crawl over to it, one of the bigger branches begins to break, so she calls the PAW Patrol for help.
Back at the Lookout, once Ryder answers Helga Humdinger's call, learning of the situation she is in, he summons the PAW Patrol to the Lookout where they are suited up in their standard gear and briefed on their mission. After the mission briefing, Ryder assigns Marshall to use his ladder to reach Helga and Chase to use his net to catch her in case she slips. With that, the team deploys with Marshall and Chase sliding into their respective vehicles and setting off with Ryder to Foggy Bottom.
Once the PAW Patrol arrive to Helga Humdinger's location, Chase launches his net to save the trophy from crashing onto the ground while Marshall uses his ladder to help Helga down from the wobbly branch. However, once she gets down, a bear cub, attracted by the treats as well, takes the trophy and runs off. Despite the PAW Patrol's warnings of messing with the cub, Helga chases after it. On Ryder's command, Chase rides over to the edge of Lookout Point to catch up to Helga and the cub and uses his launcher to distract the cub with treats. While the cub stops to eat them, Helga retrieves the trophy again, only for it to be snatched by an eagle. Helga runs after it and holds onto the trophy, but the eagle keeps its grip and lifts her up into the air. After Ryder calls in Skye for air support, the group follow the eagle and Helga to Foggy Peak where she tries to shoo the eagle away from the trophy after it lands.
As Chase takes note of how all the animals have been sniffing the trophy due to the treats inside it, Mayor Humdinger wraps up his shopping at Mr. Porter's and returns to Foggy Bottom. Meanwhile, Skye finally arrives and distracts the eagle, allowing Marshall to use his ladder to help Helga Humdinger down once more after she retrieves the trophy. However, on her way down, she drops the trophy and the additions Mayor Humdinger added fall off. After learning that the trophy is fake and that Humdinger lied, Helga remains proud of Humdinger's dedication and returns to his lair with the PAW Patrol.
Once Mayor Humdinger returns, he shows off the trophy he made to Helga Humdinger and the PAW Patrol. The group worries for a moment as Humdinger pauses to inspect the trophy, but feel relief as he was only looking at his reflection, revealing that a hair on his mustache was out of place. Helga quietly thanks the PAW Patrol for saving the day and the group, excluding Humdinger who is unaware of the situation they had prior to his return, share a laugh.
