"Pups Save the Kitty Rescue Crew" is the first segment of the first episode in Season 5 of PAW Patrol.

Summary

Mayor Humdinger creates false emergencies so his Kitten Catastrophe Crew can appear better than the PAW Patrol.

Synopsis

It started at City Hall, Mayor Goodway and Marshall were planting colorful tulips for the garden. They both agree they are the best flowers ever, but then, Mayor Humdinger appeared to tell them that Foggy Bottom were perfect with tulips which got damp water. When Goodway saw a baby bird in trouble, Marshall turned around to see, but he accidentally sprayed water on Mayor Humdinger. Marshall ran to the tree and used his firefighter helmet to catch the baby bird as it fell out of the tree just in time. Then he used his firetruck ladder to put the baby bird safely back to its nest. After that mini rescue, Mayor Goodway said that Adventure Bay has its good luck to have the PAW Patrol around, since they're quick and helpful. But for that, Mayor Humdinger came up with a plan.

Mayor Goodway and Chickaletta started walking around town, until all of the sudden, they heard someone shouting for help. It was an old lady trying to get her walking cart until she fell. As Goodway was trying to get the cart, it started zoom away from her when she was trying to grab it. But she didn't noticed that the old lady was Mayor Humdinger in disguise. When Goodway got tired of running, she started to call the PAW Patrol for help.

At the Lookout, the pups were playing the relay speed drill, the pups have to be in line. When the first pup runs with the baton, then pass it to the next pup in line. Skye goes first, then passes the baton to Zuma. She got a little tired from the running as she started to lay on the grass. When, Ryder got Mayor Goodway's call about the "old lady's" cart rolling away, he summons the pups to the Lookout. Marshall started rolling on a tire towards the elevator and said "Am I ever tired out?" As the pups got geared up, Ryder told them about an "old lady" falling on a sidewalk and her cart rolling down the street. He hired Chase to use net to catch the cart, and Marshall to use his EMT gear to check if the "lady" has any injuries. As everyone was ready they deploy in their vehicles and off they go to the rescue.

When Ryder and the pups were still driving, a couple of purple traffic cones blocked their way, so they started to take a detour, then suddenly, they found the cart. Chase started to chase after it, but then, the kitty carrier got in the way. Mayor Humdinger was control it and let his Kitten Catastrophe Crew do their thing. Cat Chase used his zip-line to stop the cart, Cats Rubble and Rocky picked up the fruit, and Cat Zuma was hiding in the cart. Mayor Humdinger was faking that his were a great help instead of the pups. And then, he slipped on a banana and fell. As the PAW Patrol arrives, Marshall started using his x-ray screen to see if the "old lady" is injured, but Humdinger was still faking it, his bones weren't broken.

As Humdinger left, Marshall kinda discovered Cat Zuma in the cart with his x-ray. And, he and Chase knew there were six kittens in the crew, they only saw five. Then, they spotted some boosters on the cart. Humdinger took off his disguise and was still faking that his kittens are real "heroes." Ryder told Mayor Goodway about the detour, and she knew there aren't suppose to be detours in Adventure Bay. Mayor Humdinger and his kittens drove away to avoid the trouble, but Chase and Ryder knew there was something suspicious going on here.

Ryder and Skye were driving and flying down the road, when Skye spotted a skateboarder in trouble. Mayor Humdinger was being the skateboarder. As he started to fall of the cliff, Skye was about to catch him, but Cat Skye caught him instead with an inflatable mattress and balloons. Now, the PAW Patrol was confused, even Mayor Goodway, they were wondering how the kittens show up just as someone needs saving. Then, Humdinger was singing a theme song about his kitty crew. It was worse, but Mayor Goodway knew the PAW Patrol will always be first in the heart of the town. Humdinger was going to do another false plot of rescuing.

At the Lookout, Ryder looking through the periscope, when he got a call from Mr. Porter about seagulls driving his costumers away from his cafe. As they arrived, Humdinger was in disguise again, calling his kittens for "help." Skye spots Cat Rocky throwing food off the roof. Humdinger slipped on a banana again, and his disguise fell out, revealing his face in front of the PAW Patrol. Ryder knew he set up all those phony rescues just to get fame. With their deception revealed and when Humdinger and his kittens tries to escape, a banana peel fell on Humdinger's head and a bunch of seagulls were attacking him, and the PAW Patrol started chasing him. Then, Humdinger dropped his carrier remote, letting the seagulls control his carrier. And, he feel off the bridge, but got saved by his overall strap, and his kittens were hanging on a cable wire. Marshall used his ladder to get the kittens down, while Skye lifts Humdinger up onto the bridge.

Humdinger and his kittens were scent to community service for all the trouble they caused again. And, everyone was happy that the PAW Patrol would still be their real rescuers in Adventure Bay.
