- Marshall uses the water cannons in his pup-pack as confetti cannons.
- Chase is revealed to have a tennis ball cannon, and uses it for the first time.
- Katie uses her bathtub as a float.
- This episode shows that Marshall does not like big noses, because he says "Ew!" to balloon Rocky's nose.
- This is the first time a pup's suit gets inflated. In this case, it's Marshall.
- This is the first episode in which Skye has performed skywriting (drawing the series logo).
- The other pups did it later with her in "Jet to the Rescue".
- In the parade, giant balloon versions of the pups were used.
- In real life, a giant balloon of Chase was used in the 2017 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
- Helium gets into Marshall's vest and inflates inside of this vest to make him look and float like a balloon.
- This is one of the episodes where the pups wore their gear for the entire episode.
- The Finnish (Yle) title card uses a different font style, the pink balloons are removed, and Skye is scaled more than the other versions of her in the title card.

Errors
- Skye's badge disappears briefly and then reappears in the elevator. It also disappears while Skye is on the way to City Hall in her copter to help with the rescue.
- When the balloon got caught in Marshall's zipper, it looked like it got stuck to his pup-tag first, preventing it from inflating his vest.
- Also when Skye told Marshall to unzip his zipper to let the air out, it seemed like he reached his pup-tag, making us think the pup-tag is a part of the zipper, not his collar
- The title card displays the title card the gramatically-incorrect "Pups save the Parade".
- During the parade, two of Julius can be seen instead of one.
