Synopsis
The episode begins at the Lookout, and the pups are playing frisbee. Rubble tries a good throw but it misses and it lands on a tree. He then explains that Ryder is a good thrower, but Ryder was not with the pups. He was busy working on something the pups are not supposed to see until that something, which is a surprise, is finished. Marshall then throws the frisbee rapidly, and then gets dizzy. However the frisbee turns around, and the pups crash onto Marshall and they all laugh. Ryder has paused working his surprise so he can see the pups. Chase said to Ryder what the latter and Robo-Dog were working in the garage, but Ryder can't tell him because it is a surprise. Then Ryder then throws the frisbee and the pups run to try and catch it.
Meanwhile in Foggy Bottom, the Cheetah has come for a visit for Mayor Humdinger and the Kitten Catastrophe Crew. When the camera goes inside the lair, we see that the Cheetah told Mayor Humdinger for more milk, and she is watching the race she lost to Marshall (from the events of "Ready Race Rescue"). The Cheetah knows her favourite part is when she almost won the Round the World Road Rally, only to be lost by Marshall, which is shown by Mayor Humdinger's TV. Then Marshall got past the Cheetah, as the latter drifted and spinned. It then showed that Marshall won the race and got the trophy. The Cheetah is frustrated that she didn't win, although she did win at the first race. Then the TV shows a picture of Marshall sitting next to the trophy, and the Cheetah reveals that that trophy is now at the Adventure Bay museum. Now that the Cheetah needs to get back to winning races, she said that her race car is not allowed to make her cheat again. Mayor Humdinger knows the one thing that cheers him up: his scrapbook of schemes that have gone wrong, and that in the scrapbook shows pictures of previous episodes that Mayor Humdinger appeared in and to make a scheme go perfectly, only for that scheme to be ruined by the PAW Patrol.
One of the pictures that Mayor Humdinger dangling from the bridge (with Cat Skye, Cat Rocky and a sheep, as he tried to steal Cap'n Turbot's blimp from "Pups Save a Blimp"). He goes a lot of previous pages, and remembers the time he was dressed as a Hum-squatch (which he used to get Travelling Travis's tourists to Foggy Bottom, only for it to go wrong as he got caught by a ledge off a cliff from "Pups Save a Humsquatch"). The Cheetah then discovers something from a picture from "Pups Save Monkey-dinger": the PAW Patroller. The Cheetah said with that ride, she will knock any race car off any track. Mayor Humdinger asks how the Cheetah will swipe the PAW Patroller, which the latter will call it the "Cheetah Patroller", the Cheetah then says that she will do a fake rescue that's out of Adventure Bay, and when the PAW Patroller shows up, she, Mayor Humdinger and the kitties will lure the PAW Patrol out. Then they do their signature evil laugh they did in "Ready Race Rescue", but the kitties don't join in.
At the Wingnuts ranch, Mayor Humdinger tells Cat Rocky to open the corral gate, and the cat succeeds. Then it's Cat Skye's turn to scare the ponies and ostriches and the plan worked, and the animals run to different locations. Mr. Wingnut sees all this and tries to run after a pony or an ostrich, only for him to run out of breath. Then Mr. Wingnut decides to call the PAW Patrol, and Mayor Humdinger and the Cheetah high-five, knowing their plan is working.
Back at the Lookout, the pups are still waiting for Ryder to finish his secret project, as they are outside the ATV deployment. Ryder finished the secret project, but it was still not finished yet. There is a part on the train and it will complete the surprise. But before they can go the train station, Ryder got Mr. Wingnut's call, and the PAW Patrol heads over to the ranch with the PAW Patroller.
Meanwhile, the kitties still scare the ostriches and ponies at the ranch, with Mayor Humdinger and the Cheetah watching. Then, they hear the PAW Patroller's horn, with Cat Chase giving the signal. All of the vehicles come out of the Patroller, and the PAW Patrol, with Robo-Dog, round up the animals. But they're unaware of the Cheetah, Mayor Humdinger and the kitties heading for the Patroller. The Cheetah goes through the ramp and closes it, leaving Mayor Humdinger and the kitties behind. Chase sees that the Patroller is driving away, and Ryder knows that whoever took it got all of the animals loose too. However, they still need to finish their round-up.
Somewhere in a canyon, the Cheetah talks to her mobile that they've been in a lot of racers together, until the one she lost to Marshall. She starts taking off her best cheating gizmos and creating the Cheetah Patroller.
Back at the ranch, the PAW Patrol finished the round-up, and they need to find their PAW Patroller. Chase wonders where it is, but because the Cheetah is busy creating the Cheetah Patroller, she disabled the GPS and Ryder can't find it. Rocky said that if someone bad took it, they will be unstoppable, but Ryder tells him that the baddie might not, as the secret project might be able to save it, and they go to the train station.
The Cheetah is now finished making the Cheetah Patroller, and it is really tricked out. With that Patroller, she can win any race, including the last one she lost. She then goes to the museum to get back Marshall's trophy, blasting open the doors with powerful speakers and using a giant claw to set a protesting Mayor Goodway on the museum roof. The Cheetah calls Mayor Humdinger to tell him the good news, and then steals his idea to build her own cheating racetrack to ensure that she wins all of her future races.
As the PAW Patrol head back into Adventure Bay, Mayor Goodway calls them to alert them to her predicament. The Cheetah, after considering a few possible locations for her new racetrack, decides to head to the jungle and begin knocking down trees to make way for her project. She uses a ram on her new vehicle to knock the train off the tracks, sending the part Ryder is waiting on rolling away. Engineer Ed calls Ryder to alert him to this development, and the pups soon employ their pupmobiles to get his locomotive back on its rails before setting off to find the missing part.
Skye soon spots the part rolling towards the bay, and Rubble and Rocky team up to halt the part with the magnet and forklift features on their pupmobiles. As Ryder summons the pups back to the Lookout, the Cheetah arrives at the intended sight of her Cheetah International Raceway only to find an ancient temple and several monkeys who are less than thrilled to see her. She tries to scare them off with loud music, which brings Carlos and Tracker in to investigate. Overhearing the Cheetah's plans, they call Ryder, who then unveils his new project to the pups: a brand new Paw Patroller.
Ryder brings the pups onboard their new ride for the first time, and Marshall makes his inaugural crash-landing before the pups suit up in their jungle gear. Features of the new Paw Patroller include screens that allow the pups to view their various vehicles, and the part from the train turns out to be a gear that enables the Paw Patroller to achieve super speed. The PAW Patrol take Carlos and Tracker aboard, and Skye spots the Cheetah Patroller using an aerial surveillance feature. Using the new Paw Patroller's cloaking mode, they manage to get between the Cheetah and the temple, but the Cheetah remains determined to knock down the jungle trees.
Ryder then unveils another new feature of the new PAW Patroller: it can deploy two pupmobiles at the same time, which allows all seven pups to launch into action in rapid succession. All seven are soon working to interfere with the Cheetah Patroller, throwing up obstacles, attempting to snag it, and muffling the vehicle's speakers. However, the Cheetah then spots an enormous tree and sets her sights on knocking it over and flattening the entire jungle in one fell swoop. Ryder quickly brings the pups back onboard the new Paw Patroller, and then snags the Cheetah Patroller with the vehicle's tow hook to prevent it from crashing into the tree.
The new PAW Patroller is the stronger of the two trucks, but the Cheetah's struggles force the pups to divert all power to their engine. As a result of the struggle, the Cheetah Patroller begins coming apart, and finally ends up in pieces in a quicksand bog. Unable to save both the Cheetah and their stolen vehicle, Tracker uses his cables to rescue the Cheetah and Marshall's trophy. Though saddened by the loss of the old PAW Patroller, the pups are happy with the new one and their success. The Cheetah, meanwhile, is miffed at her latest defeat, and less than thrilled when Mayor Humdinger arrives to escort her home and take a selfie for his album of failed schemes.
