Summary

Humdinger's cuckoo clock goes out of control. Ryder and the pups must rescue Travis and get control of the cuckoo to save Humdinger.

Synopsis

The PAW Patrol are playing a game of telling time. The pups got every time right, except the last one, until Ryder reveals that it's treat time.

At Foggy Bottom, inside of Mayor Humdinger's cave, the mayor is annoyed at Mayor Goodway for always being out, doing errands. He wants to figure out the next errand Mayor Goodway is going to do, so he can do it first. Humdinger hatches a plan when his cuckoo clock hits 5 O'Clock, making a giant version of said clock on top of City Hall for Adventure Bay's fun day.

At City Hall, Mayor Goodway announces the start of the town's fun day, along with Mayor Humdinger, who is annoyed for how long she has been giving out the speech. With that said, Goodway finally tells the townsfolk Humdinger has donated something from Foggy Bottom, a giant cuckoo clock! When the clock strikes noon, the giant cuckoo bird comes out and does their usual job, with the townsfolk applauding its reveal.

Back at the Lookout, the pups and Ryder are still playing the time game. Quickly after, the scene switches back to Foggy Bottom, with Mayor Humdinger cooking up his scheme, spying and eavesdropping on his rival, Mayor Goodway, who is heading to Mr. Porter's. When Goodway and Porter leave the muffins, Humdinger commands the cuckoo bird to grab the muffins, until Travis butts in and smells the muffins up in his hot air balloon, without knowing the presence of the mechanical bird. Before he can notice, the cuckoo bird accidentally grabs onto Travis' balloon and loses its control box, and Mayor Humdinger can't control it. With the bird out of control, it drops Travis out of his balloon and Travis grabs the minute hand on City Hall's clock, with the remaining time of 4 minutes before he loses his grip. Mayor Goodway quickly calls the PAW Patrol after knowing he’'s in trouble.

With the pups still playing the game, Chase makes a pose of 6:30, which Skye guesses correctly. Marshall is about to get a turn, until Ryder's Pup-Pad receives a call from Mayor Goodway, who tells him that Travis is dangling on the new cuckoo clock, and the bird from it is flying all over the place. Ryder assures them not to worry and he and the pups are on their way and summons the pups to the Lookout.

When the pups arrive, Ryder tells them Mayor Humdinger's giant cuckoo clock gift is malfunctioning and causing problems all over town, with Travis having three minutes left before he loses his grip on the minute hand. He orders Marshall and Skye for the mission, and the team deploy.

Travis doesn't have much time left before he drops and the cuckoo bird is still causing trouble. Not a minute too soon, Marshall and Ryder arrive just in time, and Marshall uses his ladder before Travis falls onto it. Now Travis is saved, Ryder calls Skye to find the cuckoo bird.

At Mr. Porter's cafe, Mayor Humdinger arrives and tells Mr. Porter the control box is his, and Mr. Porter hands it over to him with no hesitation. With Humdinger having the control box, the cuckoo bird grabs him and flies with him, before he loses the box again. Porter heads over to City Hall to tell Ryder about the situation, with the control box in hand. When he arrives, he hands Ryder the box and now Ryder gets what's going on, before Skye tells him the cuckoo bird and Mayor Humdinger are heading to Farmer Al and Yumi's farm. With Ryder knowing the information, he calls Chase and Rocky to head over to the aforementioned location.

Above the farm, Mayor Humdinger commands the cuckoo bird to drop him into the pond, but instead of listening, the bird is almost about to land him in mud. Ryder tells Chase to get ready to deploy his net under the giant bird while Rocky will change the frequency of the control box to a controller so he can control it. With Skye helping Rocky, Rocky has a chance to attach the box back into the cuckoo bird. Until he is able to attach it, Rocky pulls out a controller and gets ready to release Mayor Humdinger out of the cuckoo's grasp. Now Humdinger is saved, the pups and Ryder and the mayor depart their separate ways.

Back at City Hall, Mayor Goodway and Ryder are enjoying some muffins, and Goodway thanks him and the PAW Patrol for saving Adventure Bay fun day. When Ryder questions about the clock working again, she tells him the clock is even better. A giant, mechanical Chickaletta replaces the original cuckoo bird, while the cuckoo bird is back at Foggy Bottom, much to Mayor Humdinger and the kitties' annoyance when the sound is echoing against the cave. The episode concludes with Humdinger declaring the bird is driving him, well, cuckoo.
