"The Crew & Skye Build a Mountain Lodge" is the tenth episode in Season 2 of Rubble & Crew.

Summary

Skye visits Rubble and his crew from Adventure Bay when their construction project needs some aerial support. When Speed Meister tries to beat the pups to finish the job, Skye, Rubble and the rest of the crew jump into rescue mode to save the day.

Synopsis

Out in the Bark Yard, while the pups are eating lunch together, they suddenly receive a call on the Bark Screen from Park Ranger Rose, as well as Omar and his family, who got carried away with their hiking trip and are unable to safely return to their campsite, which has all of their supplies, before dark. Rubble offers to pick them all up in their vehicles, but after learning that Wagtail Mountain has no roads, Mix suggests building a mountain lodge for them instead. However, with there being no way to transport it with their vehicles, Rubble calls Skye, who flies into Builder Cove, meeting several of its residents, including a very curious Speed Meister during his tea party with Mr. McTurtle, on her way to the Bark Yard.

Soon, Skye arrives in the Bark Yard, where she meets Charger again, and Wheeler and Mix for the first time. After exchanging badges with Mix and learning of the situation regarding Park Ranger Rose and Omar and his family, she lends a helping paw and declares them all heroes of the rescue mission, which Speed Meister, who is eavesdropping near the entrance with Mr. McTurtle, overhears. Wanting to claim that title for himself, he rushes off to build his own mountain lodge. After Auntie Crane, unloads all of the supplies the pups will need for their construction job, Rubble & Crew, as well as Skye, quickly get to work and build the mountain lodge while singing "Bounce and Build". Once the lodge is finished, Rubble calls Park Ranger Rose, who is ecstatic with the result and invites the pups to join them on their camping trip. Skye, however, is unable to join due to there being no place for her to park her helicopter on the mountain, that is, until Charger unintentionally gives Mix the idea to install a helipad for her, which the pups quickly build on top of the lodge's roof.

Afterwards, while the pups head over to their puphouses to grab their supplies for the sleepover, Speed Meister gives up on building a mountain lodge and opts for taking Rubble & Crew's instead. He tries to board Skye's helicopter, but with it being too small for himself, he converts his own ride into a helicopter instead and takes off with the lodge. Right after they finish packing, the pups witness him flying away with their work and chase after him in their vehicles. Skye attempts to talk to Speed Meister, but he shrugs her off and speeds on ahead, unable to control his vehicle due to the weight of the lodge. He then sends Mr. McTurtle inside the lodge to remove the supplies the pups placed earlier to lighten their load. Using their vehicles, the pups team up and catch all of the falling crates before they can crash onto the ground. However, even with a lighter load, Speed Meister is unable to properly steer his copter and ends up dangling over the edge of a pointy rock with the mountain lodge. Skye witnesses the situation and reports it back to the crew for a construction solution, in which they build a frame using nearby logs and Charger's winch to act as a net. Once it's finished, the cable attached to both Speed Meister's vehicle and the lodge snaps, sending both falling toward the net. Using her hook, Skye secures the lodge, saving it and Mr. McTurtle, while Speed Meister safely lands onto the net. After thanking and quickly trying to blame Rubble & Crew for the mishap, Speed Meister apologizes for the situation and offers to make up for it.

Later that night, as Omar and his family try to warm up by the fire with Park Ranger Rose, Skye finally arrives and delivers the lodge with Rubble & Crew, as well as Speed Meister and Mr. McTurtle, who made hot chocolate for everyone as part of Rubble's recommendation for making up for the theft of the lodge. After everyone sits by the fire with their drinks and marshmallows from Lily, Mix invites Skye to celebrate another job well-done with a "Wiggle and Wag" with the rest of the crew. Afterwards, Skye suggests Mix visit her sometime in Adventure Bay for a rescue mission, which Mix accepts and offers to bring more badges before sharing a laugh with her.
