"The Crew Builds a Bat House" is the second segment of the 16th episode in Season 1 of Rubble & Crew.
Summary
When Rubble & Crew discover some batty visitors at their Fall Festival, the pups must work fast to build the bats a new, safe home.

Synopsis
Out in the Bark Yard, after Rubble finishes preparing his turntable for Fall Fun Day, Grandpa Gravel requests Wheeler to use the Smash Masher to smash some pumpkins so he can make his pumpkin pies. However, as the Smash Masher rises, the crew spot a family of bats resting underneath it. Using his Batty Book of Bats, Wheeler informs the pups of the bats' natural habitat, which are caves and forests. Rubble then summons the crew to the Bark Screen where he shows them his plans of building the bats a bat house in the forest.
After Auntie Crane loads Wheeler's truck with supplies for their construction job, the crew head out for the forest where they find an area surrounded by flowers, something the bats like living by, to build the bat house. Once the construction is finished, as Mix is giving the house one of her makeovers, Rubble scoops up some nearby flowers and returns to the Bark Yard with Motor, who decides to tag along, and attracts the family of bats away from the Smash Masher and over to the newly-painted bat house.
Once there, the pups observe the bats until they are satisfied with their new home and return to the Bark Yard to finish prepping up for Fall Fun Day, but just as Motor and Mix begin to leave, the two hear the bats in distress. Motor worries they may be unhappy, but Mix reassures her that they may be adjusting to their new home before rejoining the rest of the crew.
Upon returning to the Bark Yard, several residents of Builder Cove wait outside its entrance, excited for the Fall Fun Day. Rubble and the pups return to the Smash Masher so Grandpa Gravel can finally finish baking his pumpkin pies, but as Wheeler lifts the Masher again, stopping after the crew see a baby bat that got left behind from the bat family.
To calm the bat down, Motor grabs a pair of planks and uses them as wings, playing with the baby bat, which follows her around, until she grows tired. This gives Mix the idea to build Motor a bat suit and the crew quickly get to work, using their tools in the Saw Station to make it.
Once the bat suit is finished, Motor puts it on and is lifted into the air by Charger and his crane. As the crew leave the Bark Yard once more, the baby bat follows Motor all the way to the bat house where it is reunited with its family.
As evening approaches, the crew finally finish the preparations for Bark Yard Fall Fun Day. While the Builder Cove residents enjoy their pumpkin spice cider, Rubble raps about all the things he loves about the Bark Yard. Afterwards, Grandpa Gravel finally finishes his pumpkin pies for all the attendees to enjoy.
