Synopsis
Out on Farmer Zoe's farm, Wheeler and Truffles are practicing their mud sliding routine for Builder Cove's first-ever Christmas show. However, as the air gets cooler, the mud the two are practicing in freezes and becomes too bumpy and slippery for them to perform on. Having invited the whole town to come and watch, Wheeler begins to panic at the thought of canceling the show. Fortunately, Mix and Farmer Zoe come up with a construction solution to build an ice-skating rink for them to perform on instead. With that, Rubble & Crew, along with Truffles, return to the Bark Yard to create new decorations, gather supplies, and practice for the new show.
Once the pups return, Rubble & Crew sing "We're a Pup Family" and build the decorations while Wheeler and Truffles work on a new routine, though, to Wheeler's frustration, none of the new moves seem right for the show. Afterwards, Grandpa Gravel, Auntie Crane, and Motor stay behind to finish the decorations while Rubble and the rest of the crew return to Farmer Zoe's farm to build the ice-skating rink.
After the ice-skating rink is complete, the rest of the family arrive with the new, finished decorations and admire the crew's work. However, after Grandpa Gravel expresses his excitement for the new show, Wheeler, who still hasn't figured out a new routine, panics. He is then comforted and reassured by his family, who lend their support to help him with the show, giving Wheeler the idea to stick with his and Truffle's previous routine, but on ice instead of mud.
Once evening arrives, several residents from Builder Cove attend the Christmas show, hosted by DJ Rubble, and watch Auntie Crane super speed skate, Motor recite a special Christmas poem and smash ice, and lastly, Wheeler and Truffles perform their new show. Afterwards, Rubble & Crew, as well as Truffles, gather inside the ice rink and wish everyone a Merry Christmas and happy holidays.
