Summary

After uncovering dinosaur bones, the pups decide to build a museum! But when there are more dinos than expected, the pups need to think fast.

Synopsis

It's Family Picnic Day, and Rubble & Crew are out celebrating, running around and playing with each other. While Grandpa Gravel cooks the pups his famous kibble cakes, Auntie Crane throws a frisbee for Charger to catch. During his chase, however, he trips and discovers a large area to dig in. Accompanied by Motor, he digs through a pile of dirt until he uncovers a large bone, which Wheeler closely inspects before using his WheelerVac to blow away the excess dirt, revealing the entire skeleton of a dinosaur.

After being called by Rubble, Mayor Greatway, along with Mr. Ducky Doo, arrives to see their special discovery, learning that it is a Velociraptor from Wheeler and his dinosaur book. She then states that their discovery needs a special place to be kept, which gives Rubble the idea to build a Dinosaur Museum. Excited, Mayor Greatway and Mr. Ducky Doo return to Builder Cove to spread word of the new museum. Afterwards, Rubble separates the family into two teams: Team Dino Dig, which consists of Wheeler and Charger, and Team Museum Builders, which consists of the rest of the crew. With that, after Auntie Crane returns with supplies from the Bark Yard, Team Museum Builders head over to the job site and begin construction for the Dinosaur Museum.

Meanwhile, back at the dig site, Wheeler and Charger unearth a second dinosaur, which is revealed to be a Stegosaurus, and relay the information to Rubble, who informs his team to expand their construction of the museum. Shortly after, Wheeler and Charger discover another dinosaur, which is revealed to be a Tyrannosaurus Rex and call Rubble once more. However, after Wheeler informs Team Museum Builders of the T-Rex, which he reveals as a surprise dinosaur due to it being Rubble's favorite, the crew overhear Mayor Greatway leading a group of residents to the museum. With both teams still needing to complete their tasks, they end the call and quickly finish the rest of their work.

Back at the dig site, once Wheeler and Charger finish digging and cleaning up the three dinosaurs, Charger carefully lifts each fossil onto Wheeler's loading dock before covering them with a large tarp. On his way to the museum, Wheeler passes Grocer Gabriel and Café Carl, accidentally startling them at first with the covered dinosaurs on his dock, and invites them to join the rest of the group at the museum to see the new dinosaurs. However, upon arriving at the museum, Wheeler and Mix realize that the museum is wide enough, but not tall enough to accommodate the length of the T-Rex. Fortunately, Mix comes up with a construction solution to remove the roof and place a glass dome over the T-Rex's head instead.

With that, the crew take apart the roof, leaving a large hole in the center, which Charger carefully lowers each dinosaur through. Once all the dinosaurs are placed and the crew install a large glass dome around the T-Rex's head, Mayor Greatway officially declares the Dinosaur Museum open. After the mayor thanks Rubble & Crew for their fantastic work, the crew celebrate with a "Wiggle and Wag" before joining Greatway inside the museum.
