"The Crew Builds a Playground" is the first segment of the 4th episode in Season 1 of Rubble & Crew.
Summary
After Speed Meister builds an unsafe playground, Rubble and Crew get creative and build a whole new playground with old materials.

Synopsis
Grandpa Gravel and the pups finish building a fence outside of Grocer Gabriel's store. However, while singing, Gabriel accidentally twirls into a couple of grocery carts, both of which crash into the newly built fence. Fortunately, the crew, using Grandpa Gravel's advice of reusing what they already have, use the broken pieces to construct a new fence that Gabriel loves even more than the previous one.
On their return to the Bark Yard, the crew stop to join Auntie Crane, Motor, and a few others in the park where Speed Meister is quickly building a playground. The pups offer to help, but Speed Meister declines and finishes building solo. Worried about the unstable, wobbly result, Rubble and Grandpa Gravel suggest inspecting the playground for safety first, but Motor spirals out-of-control on the merry-go-round, which breaks and crashes into the rest of the equipment.
Mix uses her mixer to spin the merry-go-round over to Rubble, who launches it into the air for Charger to catch and safely lower with his crane into Wheeler's truck, rescuing Motor. With the playground now destroyed, Speed Meister blames the pups for the disaster and leaves with Mr. McTurtle. Fortunately, the crew are able reuse the broken pieces of the playground, along with some extra supplies brought by Auntie Crane, to build a new safe and fun playground. After the pups finish installing a tire swing, they run off to let the kids know the playground, which they dub, "Pup Adventure Land", is finished.
Speed Meister returns and takes the opportunity to loosen the bolts of the tire swing and hides within it before the pups can spot him. However, his added weight causes the tire to come loose and it rolls away with him still inside. Using the same method they used to rescue Motor, the pups save Speed Meister, who reluctantly takes responsibility for his actions and leaves while the kids of Builder Cove play on the new, safe playground.
