Summary

As the pups work on building a surprise playroom for Lucas and Lily, a squirrelly visitor causes construction complications.

Synopsis

In the Bark Yard, Motor is out playing near her doghouse until Rubble & Crew receive a call on the Bark Screen from Omar, who wants to surprise Lily and Lucas with a new playroom. After the crew accept the job, Omar informs them that he and Juniper will take the kids out to the beach so that the pups can work on the surprise in the meantime. With that, Rubble & Crew load up on supplies and head out.

As soon as Omar and his family depart from their home, Rubble & Crew arrive with their supplies. Once all their supplies are unloaded, Wheeler deploys his vacuum and clears the yard of all the acorns lying around while Rubble and Mix measure out the length of the new room and place flags to indicate its location. Motor then readies her wrecking ball to tear down the old wall, but just as she is about to use it, a squirrel runs by. As Rubble resists the temptation to go after it, Motor chases it all throughout the yard until she crashes into the crew's supplies.

After the crew clean up the supplies, the pups begin to build the playroom's wooden frames while Motor smashes the old wall down with her wrecking ball. However, the vibrations from it cause more acorns to fall from the tree, attracting the squirrel, which Motor chases after again until she crashes into the crew's construction work. While Wheeler vacuums the acorns once again, Motor apologizes to Rubble, who understands her feelings as he also loves chasing squirrels and urges her to resist due to the importance of their construction job.

With another squirrel situation cleared, the crew get back to work and finish the foundation of the playroom as well as its wooden frames. However, while the pups hammer the frames down, the squirrel returns and leaps onto Wheeler's acorn-filled toolpack, startling him. As he runs around trying to get it off, Motor, Mix, and Charger give in to the temptation and chase after it. Rubble is just about to join them until he receives a call on his pup tag from Juniper, who informs him that Omar and the others are returning home from the beach.

To solve their squirrel problem once and for all, Mix comes up with the construction solution to build a squirrel feeder, as well as a home, for the squirrel in the tree. Once that construction job is done, the crew resume their previous job and finish building the playroom. As they finish, Motor alerts the crew of Omar and his family's return before hiding, along with the rest of the pups, in the playroom.

Once the family enters, the pups leap out, surprising Lily, who thanks her parents and Rubble & Crew for the new room, and Lucas. After the two explore the new room and Omar thanks the pups, Rubble & Crew celebrate with a Wiggle and Wag along with Omar and his family. Afterwards, Motor and Rubble observe the squirrel enjoying its new home from the window of the playroom.
