"The Crew Builds a Popcorn Café" is the first segment of the 8th episode in Season 1 of Rubble & Crew.
Summary
The crew switches to cleanup mode when construction on Café Carl's new popcorn restaurant pops out of control.

Synopsis
It's an extremely hot day in Builder Cove and Wheeler, Charger, and Mix are preparing the Mega Mixer in the Bark Yard while dealing with the heat. Just after Rubble arrives and provides shade for his cousins with his digger, Café Carl calls on the Bark Screen and asks if the crew can build him a popcorn café. Mix suggests making the exterior look like a giant box of the popcorn, receiving Café Carl's approval, and the pups receive their needed supplies from Auntie Crane, who loads them into Wheeler's truck, before setting off for town.
Once the crew arrive at the construction site, they notice a giant pot full of corn kernels, which Cafe Carl explains is for the café and asks if they can build around it while he finishes preparing the café's grand opening. With that, the crew get to work and build the walls of the café around the pot in the shape and design of a giant popcorn box. However, after the structure is complete and Mix paints over it, the crew hear popping sounds coming from within the café and see that the sun's harsh rays are heating up the kernels.
Just as Café Carl returns with menus, the rapidly popping kernels burst out of the pot, knocking down the café's walls and covering all of Builder Cove with piles and piles of popcorn. Café Carl fears that he won't be able to open his café as planned, but Rubble comes in with his digger and places a large wall of wood over the pot, preventing the heat from popping any more kernels, and reassures him that the crew can clean and fix the mess. He then delegates himself and Wheeler to scoop and sweep the town of the popcorn while Mix and Charger place the café's walls back together.
Once the streets are clean and the walls are restored, the crew create a popcorn-shaped roof for the cafe. Mix uses her foam spray blaster and sprayer to create giant, fake popcorn over the roof's structure and Charger uses his crane to lift and move it over the café. After the roof is in place, the pups climb up to nail it down.
With the roof now secure, the café is officially finished and ready for business. Café Carl thanks the pups and heads inside to make popcorn while the crew celebrate with a Wiggle and Wag. Café Carl then returns with each of the pups' favorite popcorn flavors as a big thank you for building his popcorn cafe.
