"The Crew Finds a Rainbow Treasure" is the second segment of the 9th episode in Season 1 of Rubble & Crew.

Summary

Grandpa tells the pups about a buried treasure, and they find out the key to finding this treasure is teamwork.

Synopsis

At the top of the Crane Tower, Rubble is watching his family work in the Bark Yard until he notices the fencing surrounding the top-level is loose. He barks out his wrench to tighten its bolts, but when the arm extends from his Toolpack, he sees that his wrench is missing. He calls his family for help and they all search around until Charger, who was digging for it, unearths a green gem. Excited to see what the rest of it yields, the family join in and dig up a triangular stone, which they learn is the first clue to the Rainbow Treasure from Grandpa Gravel, who returns the wrench he borrowed from Rubble. He then takes the family up to the Bark Screen where he tells them about the Rainbow Treasure, which can only be found if all four triangle stones, which were scattered across the land before Builder Cove existed, are found before the sun sets.

In order to find the rest of the stones, the pups read the green triangular stone's riddle, which leads them to the highest peak on Tool Top Mountain where Rubble uses his jackhammer to dig into the mountain's peak, uncovering the second stone. The next riddle leads them over to the park, where Mix unearths the third stone with her Spray Blaster. As the sun begins to set, the crew quickly follow the last riddle to a lake where Charger fishes up the last stone with his Crane-Grabber and stabilizers.

Now that all the stones have been found, the crew load them onto Wheeler's truck and make their way back to the Bark Yard while singing "We're a Pup Family" until a family of ducks waddle across the road, forcing the crew to slam their breaks. It isn't until the pups return home to show their findings that they realize the stones smashed against each other from the incident with the ducks and are now broken into several pieces. Fortunately, Mix comes up with a construction solution and heads over to the Mega Mixer to make quick-drying concrete while Rubble and Auntie crane head up to the Crane Tower for a bird's eye view of the broken stones and guide their family on where to push the pieces.

Once all the pieces are pushed into the correct places, Mix returns with her quick-dry concrete-filled Spray Blaster and uses it to glue the pieces back together. After Grandpa Gravel tells them the last step to fulfill the legend, Charger uses his claw to lift up the stones while the rest of the crew push them against each other.

After all the stones are aligned together, the rays from the setting sun bounce off the gems of the stones and guide the crew over to an area with a glowing X. Together, the family dig and uncover a treasure chest containing several golden tools, each with its own embedded gem, and raise them up to the sky, unveiling a rainbow. After celebrating with a Wiggle and Wag, the pups raise their golden tools once more, beaming another rainbow across Builder Cove.
