"The Crew Fixes a Road" is the second segment of the 7th episode in Season 1 of Rubble & Crew.
Summary
The pups work fast to repave a road Speed Meister damages ahead of the town parade.

Synopsis
It's a sunny day in Builder Cove and Mayor Greatway, alongside Mr. Ducky Doo, is riding around town until she spots Rubble and Mix with Juniper, who has a broken sign. Grandpa Gravel arrives in his food truck shortly after and provides Mix with the screw she needs to fix it. Once her sign is repaired, Juniper thanks the pups for the helps and leaves as Mayor Greatway approaches, noticing how Builder Cove's community is always help each other out and wants to do something to celebrate the helpers. Rubble suggests they host a parade, which Mix dubs the "Helpers Parade", and both agree that Grandpa Gravel should be a part of it.
With that settled, Mayor Greatway hops back on her bike and invites more helpers to be a part of the parade while the pups help Grandpa Gravel decorate his food truck. Speed Meister, along with Mr. McTurtle, come out of hiding once the others are gone and exhibits frustration that Mayor Greatway did not invite him to be a part of the parade. In an attempt to receive an invite, he approaches her in front of City Hall and shows off his latest construction jobs, in which Mayor Greatway recalls being dangerous failures and explains that he needs to help the community in order to be invited before taking her leave to finish setting up the parade. Once she is gone, Speed Meister takes his jackhammer and damages the road on Main Street as part of his plan to later repair it in front of Mayor Greatway.
Shortly after, Mayor Greatway reappears, leading the parade through town until she sees the damage done to road. Rubble & Crew, who were watching the parade from the sidelines, approach her and offer to fix the road, but Speed Meister quickly returns in his Speedy-Mobile to fix it instead. However, he forgets the proper way to make concrete and puts in random supplies he thinks may be necessary before hastily mixing it together and applying it over the damaged road. Rubble's skepticism over the safety of the road prompts Speed Meister to drive over his repair to prove that it is safe, but he immediately gets stuck in the wet concrete until the road gives way from the weight of his vehicle, creating a giant sinkhole.
Rubble & Crew quickly set up a construction zone to keep the area temporarily off-limits before Charger arrives with his crane, using it to lift Speed Meister's Speedy-Mobile. His vehicle is heavier than expected and nearly pulls Charger's crane into the sinkhole, but after deploying his stabilizers, Charger successfully lifts it out from the hole, saving Speed Meister and Mr. McTurtle.
After Mayor Greatway announces she may have to cancel the parade due to the sinkhole, Rubble once again offers to fix the road and sends Auntie Crane to the Bark Yard to gather their needed supplies. While she's doing that, Wheeler loads his truck with dirt and follows Rubble's traffic control wands over to the hole where he dumps it in. Moments later, Auntie Crane returns with the supplies, allowing Mix to create a special batch of quick-drying concrete and asphalt, applying both respectively over the dirt. Motor then uses her road roller to smooth out the road.
Once the road is dry, Mix uses her sprayer to paint white lines for the lanes and declares it fixed. Mayor Greatway thanks the crew for their help and invites them to join Grandpa Gravel in the parade. A frustrated Speed Meister reappears and declares that he should still be invited for trying to help, but after he accidentally reveals how he destroyed the road, he leaves with Mr. McTurtle to find a seat to watch the parade instead. The crew celebrates with a Wiggle and Wag before entering the parade with their decorated vehicles, waving to everyone who thanks for their help.
